From kick-starting pivotal nights in the early 90s to helping shape the post acid-house clubbing era in the Midlands with his residency and programming role at seminal Nottingham club The Bomb (where he recruited and span alongside: Derrick Carter, Laurent Garnier, Andrew Weatherall, Derrick May, Carl Craig & Harvey), Dave Congreve quickly earned a reputation as one of the finest & most important residents in the UK. Soon he was playing everywhere from big clubs such as Fabric, Back2Basics and the SubClub to parties on Dalston’s infamous basement underground and for the legendary SecretSundaze.
Musically, he tackles a barrage of styles with serious aplomb: deep and techy; tracky and percussive; melodic and textured – are all key traits that pepper his sets along with the vehement energy and atmosphere that's forever present. An unbridled appetite for all things sonic have led him into the world of production too, most notably with his critically acclaimed off kilter techno project Repeat/Repeat. With his creative hunger growing all the time, Dave's now become something of a permanent fixture in the studio, committing tunes to underground stable sovereignty like Soma, Leftroom and Rotters Golf Club and remixing Andrew Weatherall.
But his love for delivering nocturnal punters their future music fix hasn't dwindled one bit with Dave regularly spinning at London’s most prestigious venues and continuing his residency at Nottinghams Stealth.
